Harry Potter, a childhood favourite all of us (hopefully!) have read. But for the more serious fans of you all, this might just be your chance to dive back into the books and re-read them, because Jim Kay will amaze you with his illustrated Harry Potter books will take your breath away.

But first, take a look at this board by In a Nutshell featuring a collection of illustrations from the books by Jim Kay

A Bit About Jim Kay…

He was born on the 4th April 1974, and is from Northamptonshire. Harry Potter is his biggest job and he’s still working on it! He’s also illustrated A Monster Calls.

How Did It Happen?

Jim told Google Arts and Culture, “It really came out of the blue. I got a call from my agent who said: “You’d better be sitting down for this – I’ve got Harry Potter for you,” and not just the covers, she meant all 7 books.”

What Does He Have To Say About It?

Jim Kay has done a brilliant job on Harry Potter – that’s all I’ll say and I’ll let him tell you the rest.

What J.K. Rowling Thinks…

On each of the back covers so far, the same quote by J.K. Rowling is featured.

Seeing Jim Kay’s illustrations moved me profoundly. I love his interpretation of Harry Potter’s world, and I feel honoured and grateful that he has lent his talent to it.
