If You Haven’t Read These Books, Read Them Now
There are some things in life that you just have to do. No arguing. You might not like them (although that’s unlikely), but they add so much to your life that it’s worth it. Seriously, if you haven’t read these books before, what have you been doing in life?
(Psst! If you haven’t even heard of some of these, that’s okay, as their popularity varies by region, but they’re still solid gold and deserve a spot on your Book Bucket List. Some, like Harry Potter, are world famous though.)
The Harry Potter Series
By J.K. Rowling, this masterpiece is probably something you’ve already read but will keep coming back to.
The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings
While the Hobbit was first written as a children’s book and the Lord of the Rings series was written for more complicated reading, everyone should have read these books. Plus, the Hobbit is great to read to older children to help them fall in love with reading.
Books by… Astrid Lindgren
All of these deserved a mention so I merged them into one. From Pippi Longstocking and the Children of Noisy Village to Ronia the Robber’s Daughter and Seacrow Island, these have an irrestistible appeal for everyone.
Sherlock Holmes
This gripping series isn’t a thriller, but will keep you reading until the very end.
The Three Musketeers series
Dive into the height of the French empire with these books which you’ll treasure all your life. 100% a Classic.
The Count of Monte Cristo
I love this book and its intricate plot, with just the right amount of twists.
Conclusion
All these books were given to me to read when I was younger by my family. Funny how sometimes they give you treasures for life, so remember to listen to relatives- sometimes.
Is there a book you think is worthy of everyone’s reading bucket list? Let me know in the comments below. I know a few books that deserve a mention, too, but you’ll have to wait for a post about them.
(Psst! Next week’s post is all about one of these books- Harry Potter. Can you guess what it’s about?)
